The ACT was saturated with revheads as Summernats 21 came to town, 105,000 spectators walked through the gates and i’m guessing there was many a sore head to nurse too. All this adds upto an estimated $12 million cash injection into the ACT’s economy, pretty amazing what the car community can do.

Bigblocks, smallblocks, turbo, twinturbo, supercharged, twin supercharged, bagged, lowered, airbrushed, you name it Summernats has it in the modification stakes.

Victor Bray brought along his very first race car, a 57 Chev complete with new brodix headed bigblock and blower.

Victor also brought along one of his newest toys, a Datsun 1200 ute!

Big Leroy has done it again in his blown bigblock statesman. Taking out the last THREE burnout events (he’s entered), Gazza Nationals, Elite Pro Street Burnouts and now Drag Tag! After only getting into the burnout culture ~18 months ago, Leroy is quickly becoming one of the top competitors out there.

Mick Brasher aka Stretchy (if you see him at an event - call him this he LOVES it!), missed the barrier by the hairs on his arse. Check the vid, he pulled up inches from the barrier. Apparently the little corolla is under going some changes before Summernats 21, so keep your eyes peeled for the evolving orange rolla!

Elite Pro Street Burnouts (EPSB) promised to deliver Australia’s toughest burnout comp and guess what? They DELIVERED big time! Through out the entire night there was zero down time, cars were whisked off the track within seconds of stopping or erupting into flames. Spectators didn’t get time to empty the one eyed piss pipe, let alone get bored. Action action action would be the best way to describe Elite Pro Street Burnouts!

EPSB has definitely raised the bar for burnout comps, with literally MILLLIONS of dollars worth of cars lining up. With the *slowest* having done a low 11 second quarter mile, it was obvious we were in for a real treat.

Spring Nationals is now the ripe old age of 15 and still going strong. No matter how hard the boys in blue try to deter entrants, they keep coming back to Shepparton for Springnats. Thousands of spectators poured into the DECA grounds to watch the 450+ strong entrants thrash and show off their pride and joy.
