1973 LJ Torana YLD-073

Well it has been a long long long time since we last had a Feature car up so thought we’d start off with a very stout streeter from up the coast (sorry YLD073 we needed to get your ugly mug off the front page). This is Lee’s 1973 LJ aka YLD-073!

Lee’s LJ is powered by a 355 stroker and pumps out 385rwhp. The block is taken from a VT, VN heads are ported with crane rockers, SRP forged pistons and Scat H beam rods fill up the block with a Harrop crank filling out the bottom end.

Datsun 120Y FLI20Y

This is our very first datsun and non V8 feature car and just because it has half the plugs doesn’t mean it won’t tear your head off and toss it down the street. Mashing the quarter in 11.01 seconds at 122mph and pumping out 325 rwhp on the rollers, Mick’s datto is definitely no slouch and should be treated with the respect that it will simply take from you. From the outside, it looks pretty much like your run of the mill Datsun 120Y, clean white paint job, venetians in the rear window giving it that nice sleeper look. The turbo stickers and convos tip you off that this isn’t any ordinary 120Y but it doesn’t convey exactly what it’s capable of!

Dan’s 1968 XT GT Falcon

I think the best way to describe a ‘68 XT GT Falcon, is an ‘I remember when’ car. For example, I told my oldman about Dan’s XT and the first thing he said was “I remember when I was 15 years old, Midget Farrelly drove down to our beach with his wife and kids in his XT GT…..”.

It is genuinely a very cool bit of aussie muscle car history, especially when it is finished like Daniel’s one. Very stock look, straight as a die, chrome that is mirror finished and some very mild changes such as a slight change in ride height and a more menacing exhaust note make for a very very tough ride.

UCSMOKE 1969 HT Premier

When it comes to burnouts, Steve Loader’s ‘69 HT Premier “UCSMOKE” doesn’t just grab your attention, it slaps you up the side of the face and says “F’N TOUGH”! Out of all the big horsepower cars hitting the burnout pad right now, Steve’s HT gets more love than a hooker offering free rides. DART Bigblock and an Enerle Big and Ugly Hat pump out near on 900 ponies at the rears and take no time to massacre tyres.
