Datsun Day at Wakefield Park
After quickly glancing over datnet.org on thursday evening, I noticed there was a track day at wakefield park the following day (August 11th). After cursing myself for not having prior knowledge and preparing for the event, I decided to head down the next day for the afternoon.
Anyways, I haven’t been around dattos in packs for a very long time and was more than happy to see some seriously quick beasts down there. FJ, SR, CA powered dattos and all seriously quick. In particular the dime pictured above was insanely quick down the front straight of Wakefield.
One thing that i’ve always loved about these little beasts is the violent acceleration they all have when fed the right type of power plant. The front gets up and buries the rear end into the ground, each gear change is like watching a see-saw go up and down.
