@ simbad - we absolutely had no choice - the original steering was enormous.
I have spoken to an engineer and he said welding to the cross member is not a problem. However we will have to cut down the body of the rack which he said will not be a problem as long as it is done properly.
@ solid - a bit apprehensive with regards to anything camira but will definitely have a look at it thanks.
