The log manifolds should be fine. i have seen them in some cars and a few trucks. they dont really alter noise that much really depends on your mufflers.

the sump will be diffcult as im pretty sure all chevs have rear pickup because the pump is at the back of the motor. Could you make a hybrid?

I think we'll end up with the log manifolds - they should look ok, especially if we heat wrap them or something.

Not sure when it comes to the sump, always thought the high volume sumps were front pickup? Might have to make a hybrid pickup + sump. Pretty sure even a front pickup sump would need a little modification to fit too.

how about, cutting the rails off a chev sump, stitch them onto a Ford sump and get a new pickup made?

Not a bad idea, probably worth just making up our own sump if we're going to go that far.

There is quite a bit of room to run them back, it's mainly the costt of making them up as from block to chassis rail is pretty tight.

Maybe - but we're sure it's going to have to be a double hump sump - so going to have to make up something custtom. The back will have to be house the pump and front hold the bulk of the oil.

We're thinking of just cutting up the current one we have and sheeting it up to suit. Any idea about running the pickup up and over the hump to go to the front hump?
