Regaurding the sump. How much space is between the back of the motor and the crossmember? ie how much room for the belly of the sump? I found these funny looking sumps which have a skinny but deep belly. Dont know if it solves your prob or not.

i wouldnt run the pick up towards the frount , because the oil will always run back under exceleration , i know its only a cruiser ,

Alrighty,
I got intouch, he is going to try and dig up more info for me, But he says he used a modified Dodge 440 Pickup and an LS1 Sump with a Sandwhich plate to a Mellings Oil Pump. Ill le tyou know asoon as i get piccies |
