Hahahah ima400!!! Its funny cause I bouth the merc in February this year and spawned the idea of a straight up 350 chev originally. I tried to do some research to find out if anyone else had done it yet and that's how I found these forums. Then I see this pic by pic account of how these guys are doing it and thought I mightbe able to grab some valuable info from them. It would just be awesome to have these two bad boys lined up next to each other at some car show when they are done OR even better, have tandem burnout show with both the cars. I kwo they do it here at the Motorplex, which is only about a 10 minute drive from my house. Whatta ya reckon boys??

![]() Just have to do something about the rear end - if you find a good fix let us know. That is the weakest link right now and kind of worries me alot.

SWEET!!! Yeah just for your info, mine is a w108 so yours obviously superseedes mine by a few models. I will talk to a a guy here who does race tailshafts and diff setups, he may be able to help work out the rear end issue. I say find a 6.9L merc that someone is wrecking and grab the rear end out of that but my knowledge is VERY limited in that department

that's pretty much where we stand too. Don't know a whole lot about the models and strenghts of diffs etc... Finding parts hasn't been a fun job - took a weekend trip to qld tofind 2 doors, so not keen on hunting down a diff..
