only problem with that suspension is that it sucks :( seriously - goes down, tiny little pump, not made to raise and lower the car at all.

Ahh it's not painted yet? fark - thought you had passed that part of the project already? Amazing how long it takes to get all the paint and panel done isn't it? I hate that part so much!

mate you're not wrong!! I found rust in just about every conceivable corner of the car had rust in it. As I said, only the floor pans to go now. Is that true about the air bags?? I knew they had issue with valves but I was planning on using a remote pump so i could give it a little more ooomff to get a better ride.....hmmm might have to think about that one, I will quiz the guy tomorrow about the state of his.

Well here's an update for you AJ and Simmo. Ive had a few issue recently with my health. A scratch on my butt form the ground from sliding in and out of the engine bay got a little out of hand and turned into a pretty nasty sore. Because I sit on my ass 24/7 the blood flow to the area was almost nil so it got deep like an ulcer, forcing me into bed for near on 3 weeks, the object of the exercise to keep the weight off my ass to alow blood flow and the wound to heal.

Well, pretty much at the same time, I was cleaning off rubber that was glued to the floor pan with and angle grinder. Since I couldnt just stand next the car and grind away, I sat in my chair (duh!!). Here's the catch.... Because I cant use any muscles from the chest down, I dont have any alteral balance (none of my trunk muscles work) so I leant on my elbow for almost two hours while I was grinding away. But because I cant feel down the backs of my arms, I didnt realise I had burst a fluid sack in my elbow. Well that thing got infected and I ended up with a tennis ball size lump in my elbow. Just what I needed.

And to top it all off, because I lost the ability to sweat when I got hurt, I have a lot of trouble regulating my body temp. So once the temp outside gets around 32, I cant really work as I start getting dizzy, my blood pressure drops and I have trouble seeing. God I love to have a whinge hahaha. End result, bugger all work done in the last 4 weeks!!

Anyway, here's some photos of what I have managed to get done. You'll notice my front end is completely different to yours, a little more simplistic but seems to to the job.

Note the billet aluminium wheelchair 'mags' in the top right corner of this picture...I need to find some rims for the Merc that match em!!!

nice update mate - sorry to hear about all the physical problems you've been having too!

with re to the engine bay - what are your plans?

Looks like you still have alot of wiring , brakes / grommets on the firewall. These all need to come out mate - not worth going so far and leaving a few small things like this to let it down.

Is that new shocks i see?? Where did you get them from?

yeah that wiring needs to come out but before I do that I want to make up new looms to replace em and I dont want to get too confused so Ive just left em there for now. All the grommets are gone from the bay, the only things that are left are some fresh air inlet pipes which sit inside of the front guards just in front of the driver and passenger side doors. And yeah, the master cylinder needs to go but Im having trouble getting the lines to release and I dont have access to any heat here so I'll get the paint shop to whip it off.

The shocks are off the shelf jobs from Pedders, I think there were about $180 a throw from memory.
