Default 10 SYDNEY POWERCRUISE DVD's to be given away INSIDE!

Sydney Powercruise 2010 DVD is set to be released next week and we have 10 copies thanks to Gup & Powercruise to give away!!

For those of you who have never been to a Powercruise event, this is definitely a DVD to check out, definitely my pick for top event in Australia each year. Plenty of seriously tough and outta control cars!

Powerskids, off street racing, burnouts, track cruising, dyno, show cars, sexy women and more!

How To Enter

Tell us your best story from when you were working on a car, whether it be yours or a mates car.

From bush mechanics to strange bits and pieces you have found whilst taking things apart. Dumb things you have done, dodgy bits you have cobbled together - we want to hear it all.

Photos are a plus, but not necessary.

Entries are open to ALL MCF members bar myself.

JUDGING

Gup & myself will choose the top 10 entries.

Competition Ends 25th JUNE!

Again, HUGE HUGE thanks to Gup & Powercruise for providing the DVD's!

Cheers,
Adam

working on a mates commy at his house pulled out the motor and box to paint the engine bay and at the same time we gave the motor a freshen up got all that done and it was time to put the motor and box back in had it on the engine crane working it back in up in the air when the u shakle gave way and the whole motor and box came crashing down on the nice freshly painted engine bay smashed that up and smashed the bell houseing completly off the back off the motor so it was back to the start for every thing.

Bored at home with a bunch of mates a few years back in my younger days. I had a 1979 Toyota Corolla as a daily hack that was about to be retired, and unfortunately for the corolla, a full bottle of nitrous too! We didn't really have motivation to be neat about the whole nitrous install, so we whacked a hole in the bonnet with an axe, and cable tied the nitrous line to the carby stud. With my mate in the passenger seat with the nitrous bottle in between his legs off we went for a cruise.

With a bunch of mates in other cars tagging along just to see the carnage we headed off into the darkness. I hit about 60kph on a quiet rural road and said to my mate, "open her up" He slowly opened the gas bottle, and low and behold, the crap corolla lit em up!!! I dont think I have laughed that hard, I couldn't believe it. SO I had to get some more nos corolla action. So I stopped, stalled up the 10hp 4 cylinder auto, and the gas was wound open......instant top gear smoke screen!! The crowd went off!!! Until it backfired and flames went everywhere, and the engine was quiet and presumed dead. Laughing so hard, I thought, "hey it cant hurt to see if she starts" so I hit the key, vroom! Off she went, smooth as ever. We cruised home and grabbed a can. We still talk about that night 10 years later!!

Here is an old archive pic of us trying to blow up the corolla aka "the poo rolla" a few days later:

It was about 15 years ago, there was 5 of us cruising in a mates LJ torrie when bang, back tyre blew out. As we didnt have a jack, we proceeded to pick the car up by hand to change the tyre when we heard a wet strange noise, a mate has struck mud in his jocks when he lifted the car as we've been on this **** all weekend, obviously he strained too hard. still cops it to this day

Was taking the lowering blocks out of my old Tunna, had the rear jacked up under the diff. Undone the u-bolts and didn't realise the axle would head skywards. I just so happened to have my head above the rear drum when she let go and it squashed my head between the drum and the underside of the tray. Was trapped there for a few minutes before i had the strength the push down on the axle and free my head....lol... Managed to cut behind my ear which required a few stitches.
