Hi Guys,
I took a few pics which can be seen from the link below.... Prospective entrants list showed around 120 so not excited at only 30 of which many seemed quite ordinary. I had a good day with Keith Jeremy and TG and my arms are now very red from the sun..... http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v645/her...kefield%20park/ Anyone looking at these photos can try and match the car to the smoke. Photo quality very poor, the crowd was not allowed close enough to support and encourage the drivers and on such a bright day I could not see a thing on the camera screen so its all hit and miss with the pics, sorry about that but thats life. I was unfortunately not aware that there was to be a charity cruise 5 laps around Wakefield. Had I known that I would have taken my Torana up to show it off and help the charity. As it was I took a crappy old VP and believe me nobody would have wanted to see that cruising lol Cheers Herne

Thanks for the kind words guys. The noise sounded really bad as it lost revs/power and rattled its head off, so I shut it off, went onto the grass, started the car and made sure oil pressure came up, which it did and it sounded normal, then when I drove off and turned a corner, it made a grinding sound...maybe like an axle or diff related issue. I tried my best to make the noise again but I couldn't make it happen so not sure whats going on!
I think this is how it went... B1GV8 = Crowd Favourite UCSMOKE = 1st Blown Orange Blown VK = 2nd Blown FRONT/BACK Torana = 3rd Blown Biggest Blowup = PROPSI Blue Ute (broken gearbox casing + tailshaft!) GRUNDY (1 Tonner Vic) - 1st Aspirated CMEFRY Yellow VK - 2nd Aspirated TYRH8R Black ZD?ZG? Fairlane = 3rd Aspirated My car - 1st Critter Silver VS - 2nd Critter Can't remember 3rd... |

I have taken my bike for ride days to wakefield and know there is no shade ... So we set up the sun shade down at the start line end of the burnout strip and it really made the day so much more enjoyable. Some really good driving today in the burnouts, Best driving scores from me to the blown red cortina (Front end floating or picking up the inside wheel) and the yellow commo (mad high speed flicks.... 360 degrees +) |
