Discovery Auto Group proudly driving the Drags for Wishes

The South Coast Drag Racing Association is proud to announce that Discovery Auto Group Portland has come on board as a major naming rights sponsor for the ”Drags for Wishes“ event which is to be held at the South Coast Raceway on the 5th and 6th for February 2010.
This is the 4th year running for the ”Drags for Wishes“ event which raises money to go towards granting seriously ill children with life threatening medical conditions their most cherished wishes.
With the Discovery Auto Group support for this event it will help us raise even more money to go towards this fantastic cause.

Ballistic Big Dollar Bike Bracket

Another great sponsor to come onboard for the event is Rob Cassar from the Ballistic Drag Racing Team. Rob and the team at Ballistic are sponsoring the Modified Bike bracket for the "Drags for Wishes" event which has allowed us to double the normal prize money available to attract more racers and raise even more money.

Celebrity Drag Racing
There are also some great attractions happening during the day including celebrity appearances from a few Collingwood football players including Peter Daicos, Nick Maxwell, Dale Thomas and Nathan Brown. We will also be putting some of these guy’s into street cars on the day for a bit of a play down the strip. There will also be a Roulette’s flyover during the day, a stack of giveaways and prizes for our spectators plus a show n shine.

A little more honey in the pot for all you Bike fans.

Phil and Sam Parker will be back again this year with their two “Parker Racing” Nitro Top fuel Bikes.

They will be on display during the event with a few start-ups and some testing down the track. Mmmm nitro....
