Car metal decorating

Hi everyone,

I'm a metal artist with a background as a hand engraver.
I work 100 percent old school with very primitive tools, chisels/gravers/hammers doing deep cut metal art on air planes, boats and motor cycles.

I thought why not cars ? Maybe you guys could help me with some cool ideas
where to engrave inscriptions or artwork relief metal carvings on cars.

Could be chromed afterwards if stripped before work. Any good ideas ?

Sorry don't have much knowledge in cars and the various metal parts but would love to have a go at it. Aluminum/steel is fine for me to work in.

Hopefully someone on this forum can suggest a cool part to work on and if it is workable. That means if you can you file the metal, I can decorate it?

Here is a project of a 4 feet air plane propeller that I'm working on now in my garage when I have the time.

Thanks & Cheers,

Bo

Hi all,

I've only recently started looking at the option of injector hats. Could somebody explain to me exactly what is required to run one and what different ways you could go about it?
Straight off I'm guessing its mechanical injection...that's about as much as i can gather.

Thanks in advance,

Hi all,

After much debarkle I can finally post!
A quick rundown of me and my car, my name's Daniel, I'm 22 and a 4th year apprentice sparky working for my old man. I drive a 1977 CL Valiant, which i bought for $600 when I was 16.
245cu.in Hemi 6 and 3spd BW35 auto, it had some rust and some dints but nothing we couldn't quickly patch up ready for P Plates! Basically drove it like that for a few years having fun, went through some changes both cosmetic and mechanical, done the 3spd floor shift man, 350 holley, pacies and a DiFilippo system. After i was bored of that, scouted a 265 with triple webers that I dragged home, rebuilt, and rebuilt again, dug up a 4spd manual and whacked that in as well! It stayed like that for best part of 1-2yrs and here we are!
Except now i sold everything from radiator to diff and bought a 440 Big Block....... which is what brings me to this site!

Image: http://img444.imageshack.us/img444/158/dsc0046jur.jpg (http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/444/dsc0046jur.jpg/)

So that's more or less my story. Rough plans for the car now is to transform into a street/strip/events car which means I'll hopefully get to know some of you blokes. I'm not made of money but I'm persistent.
