turbos are good and that but you can get just as good results out of n/a engine think of sprintcar over 850 hp out of a 410Ci engine no turbo or super supercharger but they do run on methonol which many will agree creates one of the best smells in the world

Yeah, but at what cost?
I'm running the same power as a mate of mine who has a supercharged XR8 ute. He has spent 3 times as much as me to achieve this.
Is the sound of the 8 worth 3 times more? (My 6 has an awesome note).
Even if you don't run a super charger/blower, what better way to extract power, on a value for money scale, than a snail?

that's how my brother was for 15+years he had a 302ci Windsor in his Capri running 10.5's@127, he jumped in my other brother's 2JZ Corolla he ran a few 8.40's@160 and decided to go V8TT in the Capri, he was converted to turbo at one, though he has been having a few drama's with the setup lately and has been cursing going turbo

bang for your buck, turbo is the go. i have seen $10000 turbo engines making 450-500+hp at the wheels. a mate has a 1JZ in his RX7 with a little GT35/40 it makes 400+ at the wheels, all up, i think the engine owes him $3-$4k.
