Well what a year for burnouts, Avalon $5k burnout comp and tittie show in VIC was the last one before winter. We have five month to freshen everything up and do it all again. lately there has been contraversy at burnout comps with fires, cars running of the pad etc, And a lot of people having a whinge about the rules at burnout comps, every burnout comp is different thats why there should be a rule book for every burnout comp.The same rules applys for every burnout comp all over australia, And what should the rules be ?

the catergories!! some venues just have a v8 class.. which means the everyday average joe has to compete against the blown big dollars machines.. hardly fair in my book!! im just a backyarder but was happy to match it with the big money machines at gazzanats 2010.. pulled off best engineered 3rd prize in my home built mini..

Points should be given for
constant smoke use of pad crowd reaction amount of smoke good car control poping tyres points should be taken away for loss of smoke tapping the wall poor control of car car fire And instant disqualification if your car is obviosly on fire and you dont stop you loose control of your car if you dont get of the pad when obviosly promted

don't keep going when tyres are blown
sponsored cars can't compete in normal class (i.e payed competitors) proper divisions 4 4blown 6 6 blown 8 8blown or power adder and where do ya stick rotors and maybe a better listen to the crowd have been to numerous shows where some one pulls a wicked burnout and great show the crowd goes nuts and at the end some one wins that you can't even remember or sit there going WTF how did they win??

Just went to the meeting held on Saturday by Mackley in regards to a new association called Australian burnout assoc and found it quite good, funny enough everyone is keen for alot more rules added to try and keep it as transparent as possible. big topic was judges and classes.
