no its a defect,we'll thats what we got
![]() i have rang the rta,the engineer and the epa,and no one will give you a straight answer if it is legal or not. you have to remember that meth is an alco based fuel, but so is e85 so that argument ends pretty quickly ![]() |

all I can say is do your research really good and you will never turn back. I have 2 carbies a petrol 750 and a meth 950 all I do is drain the tank which I have fitted with a special line and swap carbies then fill it back up again. the oil thing is a problem if idoling around and you will need to change the plugs once changing from one to the other. even though the plugs are clean running on meth they burn out real quick as I found out.

You can run both fuel pumps to a Y block to your main fuel line that goes up to the reg, why run 2 fuel pumps when you can just simply run 1 big pump eg BG400 as said
Vac pump, i think he means the ones that create a vacume inside the crank case. |

Hi Mondo, I was at 11.0 : 1 with my motor and it worked a lot better than I anticipated.
In the States there are a few guys that swear that meth is suitable for all comp ratios, and even works better with lower comp engines. Their reasoning is that as you use twice the vol of meth as ULP some of this ends up in the chamber and takes up volume thereby increasing compression ratio. I'd run it with 10.5 : 1, you will be amazed by the mid-range torque increase. I'll try to find some more info for you later, will post it here. |
