Vac pump, i think he means the ones that create a vacume inside the crank case.
i would run 2 just because i have another one here and wouldnt need to spend more money if i could get away with running 2x 160's instead

The higher the comp the better I think johnny runs bout 14.1 comp but not sure if your gonna convert it to run methanol all the time run a high compression ratio my motor is 11.7 to 1 so its up there but I swap it back to fuel after and it all seems to be ok.

as far as i can gather anything with comp over 13.1 might need to consider useing meth or simular type race fuels
however some cars can get away with big comp on pump fuel depending on how well there cam is suited
i have 12.5.1 comp and run and race with a 50/50 mix pump and avgas
i havent tryed straight pump fuel ye but i think it might still be posable

True it all comes down to cylinder pressure and combusion chamber shape.

Methanol can be ran with all comp ratio's. You could run it with 10.5:1. You will probally find though it will like more timing and run a slightly warmer plug to keep some heat in the chamber.

what ever timming the motor will take, remember all motors are different.

From what james is saying is that the motor will handle more timming then say on petrol on 10.5 comp.

Methanol is a colder burning fuel so it makes perfect sence that it can handle more timming, thats if im thinking correctly.

not only is it the fact of burning cooler its the amount of fuel going through and being burnt that helps cars stay cooler
