do i leave the belt on, the fan spins freely without it, and slips with it on.
is it possible i have seized the engine, plenty of oil and coolant in it, i have recently had the auto gearbox out but since putting it back in i have had it running

stupid question but is the car out of gear??
its pretty hard to kill a holden 6 thats all.are you trying to turn it over with the alternator or off the crank? unbolt the starter motor incase it has jammed in the flywheel.
