HI Everyone ,

Im new and first of what a cool forum ! Anyway does anyone know if there is a conversion kit to fit a sb chev into a VL ? I just brought a neat roller for a good price and have a nice small block sitting in the shed which i would like to use. plan is to run the sb with a powerglide and the 9 inch is already fitted .

there is a kit avaliable but you need to fit big spacers under the crossmember to lower it wich will put your roll center out and most likely give you camber and bump steer problems

i sujest geting custom mounts made for engine and gearbox wich will cost a lot more

Thanks Dynoryder . I will have a crack at doing my own mounts etc, just thought there would have been a half decent kit out there.

the reason the spacers are there is to drop the engine height cause the mounts raise it for the sump to clear the xmember.most conversions are a dogs breakfast.custom pipes if u want something decent reloacate starter and oil pump.ive found a chev nova oil pump is a lot smaller so you may be able to make a custom lower profile sump than the crs job.

would be a good conversion if custom done.seen ones with crs kit and not pretty
