next up it was time to try my hand at applying some color.

All the painting was done in my back yard in pretty ordinary conditions, the car is now ready to be moved to my new house where it will be wet rubbed back and recoated in the violet, before adding a few coats of clear top coat, all paint used is a single pack acrylic.
cheers barnsey.

well the last picture is pretty much where the car is upto as of this day, I am moving house in the next week or so and the new place has a nice big shed with a concrete floor, so the rest of the painting and wireing and trim will be done when i move there.
I hope you guys have enjoyed looking at my progress pics of the rebuild, i know that i have probably left a few details out, but i will update this thred regularly when i get the chance to start working on the car again.
hope you guys all have a safe and great christmas, and santa brings you all some great gifts as well.
cheers barnsey.

Yeah the firewall will be painted later, I am just going to mask everything up when i get to the new house, the engine needs to come out 1 more time so i can clean a few things up then.
Thats the problem with building your own car, you change your mind about what your doing every second day lol
the car was going to be repainted in red, which is why the firewall is red, but i changed my mind about the color and it ended up in violet, I need to try and get stuck into it all over xmas, and get it back on the road, It's been off the road now for two years and i have been missing out on attending any runs. I still have lots to do, but its slowley comming togeather.

Yeah i know what you mean. I was going to paint mine black but it ended up blue and grey.
I know they say when you start a project to have everything clear in your mind and don't deviate but things can change alot over 2 or 3 years like cash flow, different products released, trends and the more you look at the bloody internet and cloud your mind with a million more ideas.

yeah I know what you mean, my priorety is to get it back togeather now and drive the wheels off it, its no fun going to events and rod runs without a car.
just need work to pick up again. I have lots of bits put a side for the car, a couple of mates of mine just got back from the states and i put my order in before they went, lol they got me a B&M shifter,a BDS type scoop, some trick looking guide headlights, and a set of new gauges, I also have a new 21 circut wiring harness and lots of chrome and stainless accesories for the engine, the only money i really need to spend to get it finished will be getting the seats retrimmed, but if it comes down to lack of funds when its time to trim it, i will get a good set of covers or some mexican blankets until i can afford the trim.
cheers barnsey
