Panelcorp racing - rx3 drag car project

As a few of you know,

I have recently joined a group of panelshops / smash repairers here in Sydney

I have always been a Mazda fan and a keen follower / supporter / racer of the 1/4 mile of black stuff

I had already started a project prior to this change, which I was trying to run a 10 for $10k and was making pretty good progress

And I thought I was doing pretty well until I had a chassis bloke look at her - who showed me all of this





So after a bit of thought - we decided to throw the budget out the window and do this !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!



Will post updates of the nice new parts coming from the states and progress as we go

bugger mate, looks like the previous builder had the right idea but didnt quite follow thru on the quality of thier work!! what sorta combo ya gunna put in the 808? and are you get the bits to turn it into a rx3 or leave it an 808??

Here's a BIG UPDATE to bring all you boys up to date

Didn't think I would have the interest I have had off here - so now we are all on the same page

Here are the start of the nice new expensive bits to get this revised project underway

I won't be cutting any corners on this build - given the time cards we are chasing

Not going to be much room for anything behind the Driver's seat

Wheel tubs will be above parcel shelf height

Motor wise - we will not be running a 12A

Ride height is going to be approx 100mm from the ground to the sill :owned:



Going to look DAMN TOUGH from behind (go the tassie plate!!)



Hopefully will have some bits welded in and the new fabricated diff housing to show you guys next week !!
Well Santa arrived a little bit early for me this year with my diff and shocks arriving this week (a little late - but who cares) and the Guys at CONCEPT PAINTS have offered to sponsor the car for all the paintwork and consumables require to get this little beast looking race ready

Matt at CONCEPT PAINTS was very keen to help out and all I can say is Thanks !!

Even I don't know all the details on it and it's my chassis bloke

I would say it will be Street Machine TOP 10 just having seen what he has done to mine in such a short time frame

yea most mazdas **** me off with the fags driveing them too but yours is a beast you should run a 20btt mate that will set some nice times lol any way the black thing looks mean srry to say i would rather here about that one lol
