Default Ls1 capri single turbo 1200hp rmt build up

This car is being build with some spare's that a had in storage for years.
1. Ford capri 4cyl 4speed in storage for over ten years for parts
2. LS1 engine parts left over from customers and engine builds over the years
3. Left over parts from my other capri
The aim is to run as fast as possible on junk parts. ET faster than 8.5sec 1/4s
**************sponsors needed for project***********************
1. Capri is stock standard shell with standard suspension and full trim
2. Engine is a stock LS2 with a custom cam for higher rpms for 170mph
3. Turbo is a 1200hp unit RMT
4. 2 speed glide and 9''diff
5. slicks will be 28x10.5 or possibly drag radials

1.1st photo introducing engine to new paint job
2. 2nd photo dummy fitting of engine etc
3. 3rd photo 1200hp turbo

i'll be posting build pics as i go and then at the track.

Nice build you have goin on there mate!

It'd be nice to have those parts just laying around in the shed or workshop! do you think you could of found a bigger turbo tho? this one looks a bit small! lol....

This weeks updates.
1. I assembled heads and set up valve spring pressures to suit cam/boost
2. Glued the heads to the block with cometic gaskets and cooper cote
3. Torqued head studs to 100lbs (one stud was faulty and broke)
4. Painted undercarriage in wattle kill rust deep indian
5. Stripped out front and rear suspensions and fitted new front springs for v8.
6. Painted front and rear suspension components
7. Trial fitted diff housing and sent back for brace and welding
********************next week engine/trans will go in****************

are you gonna use standerd shocks or go 90/10's which would be the normal choice for your build

a mini tubbed rear end would help alot with tracking as ur gona make a crap load of hp and torque which will turn those tyres so easy.
