I don't think it will be needed though, the angle that the brackets are made from is fairly thick and it's welded on good enough. Originally the shocks only mounted through the thin boot floor plus i'm sick of welding already ![]() Far out there is alot of welding. I've got one tub finished, i'll get some more pics tommorow mmmmmmm........ now you've got me thinking on those shock brackets, probably would look alot neater if i did it.

Alright guys, you convinced me.
Here is the photo of the finished tub and rust repair. ![]() I really need to invest in a decent mig as now i've got a **** load of welds to grind down ![]() I'm not going to bother smoothing it over with mud though as i am going to rust paint it and put sound deadener down and then carpet. I don't see the point in smoothing it out if it's going to be hidden anyway. Now i'm doing the rust on the other side ![]()

I finished the tub job off, painted it with rust paint. Now i'm just waiting for the sound deadener to arrive so i can cover up those welds
Looking back i probably should have sheeted up the whole boot, would've looked alot cleaner. Not that you'll see it anyway though (the top covered with sound deadener and carpet and underneath by the gas tank) I got a phone call from customs yesterday and i got stuck with a €200 import tax for the bits that are coming (disc brakes etc). Usually things get through but sometimes you get pinched. Anyway i should have all the bits in a couple of days.....Christmas again
