![]() Here it's pretty relaxed but modifications should be engineered. When i register mine i have to pass a couple of inspections but from what i've been told is that anything over 20 or 30 yrs old you can basically do what ever you want to it (aslong as it's safe) The cops here are hopeless which can be good and bad, depends how you look at it. I've been here around 4 yrs now and i've never been pulled over, not even for a breath test and i sit on 140 wherever i go....some things i don't miss about Australia

Hey guys, it's been a while so i thought i'd do a little update on her.
I've got the stainless all fitted except the 210 fin stainless as it had the long belair stainless on it before so i'm gonna have to chase some up. The headlight surrounds are pretty bad and the front guard stainless is fairly dented but it will havr to do for now, plus you can't tell in the photos ![]() The more i look at the car the more imperfections i can see in the bodywork, like it's sinking back a little. I guess you get what you pay for really. Atleast i know that i cut all the rust out properly. I just think they didn't take enough time with the final prep, anyways she's no show car anyway. I'm having to rethink the exhaust now aswell as i've been for a few runs and with the slightest bump the full length headers touch the ground ![]() I'm thinking to put either block huggers or mid length headers to tuck it up higher than the chassis and with that i have to change the engine mounts to side mount and make a tranny mount up and cut the old chassis trans mountings off so the exhaust will fit up, so more work. You can see the headers hanging down in the first pic. On a lighter note she runs sweet as, took it for a cut the other day and couldn't wipe the smile off my face for the whole weekend

Thanks dude
I took her for another blast today. She's like a big tank with the 2:something diff gears and the powerglide but still lots of fun. I can't wait to get a high stall and r4700 trans and shorter gears. I reckon it will really wake her up. Here's a vid, pretty crap quality

Hey guys, well it's been over a year since the last update and i'm just starting to get back into the car again so i thought it was about time.
The car has been parked up all this time after driving her a few times i fried the ol' powerglide so in the garage she stayed while we had another kid, renovated the house yadayadayada. Anyway now it time again, i got a tci streetfighter 700r4 trans, 2800 stall, and i heidts 4 link rear and some new wheels to make the most of my backyard tub job. Now i'm just measuring the rear and will get a 9 inch with a track lock from the states shortly. I was thinking of getting it from moser but am hearing (on here to) that they aren't what they used to be so if anyone knows a good place in the states to get a custom diff tell me please. Not that i've got to much grunt at the moment (prob 350hp) but i intend to change that down the track ![]() Some pics, so glad to have the boyds off it........old skool rocks!!! cars got 12 months of dust on it at the moment, i should invest in a good car cover i reckon

Well i'm still plugging along, albeit at a snails pace, but i know i'll get their one day
![]() I removed the original front engine mounts and welded in some normal chev side mounts, then removed the side trans mounts off the chassis and made up a rear trans crossmember and set the engine/trans tilted 4 degrees down. I wouldv'e bought a crossmember as they make them in the states but i'm getting hit with import tax with everything i buy lately and it's farking shiitting me off (and emptying my wallet). So what ever i can fab up, i'll have a go at. I just hope they like my fab skills when it comes to rego time. Anyway i thought i'd clean her up a bit while i was under there and i painted the body with a anti rust paint in a similar colour to what these things left the factory with. Then painted the chassis in gloss black. Now just to finish hooking up the shifter and on to the 4 link I've been playing around with ride height aswell and i hope it will turn out something like this when back on the ground
