what type of diff is it to get 4to 1 ratio. I have played around quite a bit years ago with holden sixes even had a super charged one on alcohol for a bit and what I used was started with was 3.55 to 1 and finished with 4.44 to one and 3.55 was to tall as i would cross the line stretchen 3rd because i found by slecting 4th i acually lost time due to power curve on the six it wasn't much time but was slower and with the 4.44 it would have been awsome for 1/8 mile but stretched the motor to far over the 1/4 so my experience 3.9 to one would have worked the best with the manual box i had behind the normally aspirated 192 red I had in full bodied car with the tyre height 14" rim 245 50's i ran with the 3.55 it would run 14.0 at 98mph I was running a close ratio supra box and I think the m21 box is wider in the ratio so if it is 4 to 1 it should work well. A mate of mine had a lc torana with 202 triple su's with trimatic and banjo with I believe had 3.9 to 1 it ran 13.5 at about 98 99 mph but the car weighed nothing.

yeh I know the 265 was an awsome donk except for some oil issues but the torque on the 265 was were it was at due to longer stroke when I had my blown six the record holder at the time was running a 265 val engine.
