sound strong mate!!

Forgot you're still running a manual - what's the next burnout you're hitting?

I have a question when it comes to running a car on a dyno after seeing that.

Is there a need to get into any of the gears prior to the power run? Can't see any reason for it?

it made 210kw at the rear wheels on 7psi, still running a fairly safe fat tune tho, it was only revving to 5500rpm on that run and most of the blokes had to leave the workshop, should sound bloody good(and loud!!!) at 6500rpm!!

we will be at corowa next weekend mate so if ya want i'll take ya for a spin!
as to why they run it thru the gears on the dyno its mostly to give you a better idea of a torque figure(1:1 gear ratio) and if you ran it up in low gear like 1st or 2nd it'd probly just spin the wheels due to the torque, easier to put the power down in a high gear

AJ dyno runs are usally done in top gear so the gear box ratio is 1 to 1
Also most dynos wont record above 200klm so a lower gear may be needed, I dont understand all the in,s and outs but there is a reason for it.

Tuff 253 well done with the blower, Have you done a thread on it with pics ect ??
I must of missed it.

yeah nah, sorry I understand the need for 1:1. Should have been more clear - was wondering why some operators give each gear a bit of WOT or nearly - doesn't really seem to be a need at all is there?

hot v8 on the dyno, tell me you wouldnt! its probly just to clear it up a bit as running in the lower revs usually fouls the plugs a bit, i think thats the reason for it unless anyone else can tell me other wise
