The last ever Revfest in Wagga has been and gone and what a huge turnout of both cars and spectators. No, not the last Revfest ever, just the last one in Wagga sadly. The crowd was enormous all day, with plenty of action and elite show cars to view.
Father and son Top Doorslammer champs Victor and Ben Bray set the burnout pad alight on Saturday night with hitting the pad at the same time. Coming within inches of one another whilst performing a little circle work.
Burnouts
As usual, the burnout pad was resurfaced with a new layer of rubber, coolant and steel radials as entrants pushed their beloved machines to the edge.
Joe Pagano(pictured above) took out the burnout comp in his blown VS ute, with both Joe Taverna in his Drag Tag XD Fairmont Ghia and Dave aka VANMAN in his twin blown holden panelvan. Plenty of tough cars did themselves proud with some seriously tough skids, Blown Dodge Ratrod, GASSED - silver VK wagon, XPIGGY, YUMMY, Forza’s Blown HR, Rodney Waters 120y (BATTLA) and a more noteable and lesser known car was the 5L powered blue Hilux that didn’t miss a beat all weekend nor did it drop a single drop of coolant during any of its burnouts.
Super 7’s
The aim of the game is to complete seven full donuts as quickly as possible. Last years winner a cream coloured sigma powered by a 351 returned with a splash of pink paint(pictured above) ready to take on this years competition. He backed it up and was closely followed by YIHOON who was using a dodgy borrowed gearbox that held together long enough to complete his seven donuts.

Show cars
Team Fitzpatrick made their mark at Revfest, taking out a plethora of trophies for their immaculate Datsun 510 now with a top mount turbo instead of the supercharger. This would have to have been the biggest turnout for showcars at Revfest, with the main hall full and the surrounding grass chock a block full of cars.
Next years location hasn’t been divulged as yet, but apparently Revfest will be moving closer to Sydney, so keep an eye out for the big announcement of Revfest 2008! Also big thanks to Mark Arblaster and his crew for putting on such a great event at Wagga over the years, i’m sure the locals will surely miss this event in their home town.
