Another day of work on the datto and another step closer to being able to drive the little bugger again. I’ve been concentrating on getting the motor back up and running with all the goodies - i’m ABSOLUTELY tonguing to take it for a ride with its new found power 
Anyway, today I remade the intercooler piping to suit the new turbo setup and wirebrushed the existing and painted it all up (finished product above - turbo side intercooler piping).
After finishing off the piping, I needed to add a bolt to house the vacuum hose from the boost controller and another pipe for the Blow Off Valve to connect to.

1. - refers to the bolt welded on for the boost controller.
2. - refers to the small piece of pipe I welded on for the Blow Off Valve.
Just like to note here. If you’re planning on welding up your intercooler piping yourself, then be sure to check that you don’t have any leaks. Do a visual check and if you’re not sure, rub some soapy water over the joins you’re not sure about. Seal one end off with your hand and use the blower fitting on your air compressor to fire some air into the pipe. If there’s a leak then you’ll get some bubbling around the joins. I know it’s simple stuff - but it IS important - you don’t want to lose power or have spikes in boost. That would make for an extremely shithouse drive…
Here’s a pic of the piping unpainted and stripped back with a wire brush. I’d love to be able to leave it looking like this.. If anyone has tips on if this is possible i’d love to hear about it.
