Rumour has it that Ahmet has sold Supernats to Chic Henry (Summernats owner/organiser), also word is that Chic made an offer to buy Powercruise from Gup, but Gup wasn’t interested. Looks alot like Chic is looking to start a brand to take events around Australia much like Powercruise.
No matter what is going on behind the scenes, there is definitely room for another Australia wide brand of events. Both spectators and entrants win, so we’re going from a time of having events few and far between to having events nearly every single weekend. Be interesting to see what happens event wise over the coming 12 months, I think a number of promoters are beginning to want for more than one event per year.
